020202020202CONTACT WITH BENJAMIN ADAMS:
I then responded to the scene. When arriving, I observed one vehicle oddly parked on
blocking a residence's driveway. The vehicle was occupied by one
individual, later identified as Benjamin Adams. wife advised that she
observed Adams recording the residence prior to law enforcement arriving on
scene. I then approached the vehicle on foot and made contact with Adams.
When speaking with Adams he initially stated that he was there to pick up his
friend for a date. I asked Adams if I could see his camera roll to see if he had
photographed the home. Adam's consented, and when doing so Adams hesitated and stated
that he his a videographer that documents abandoned buildings and architecture. Adams
further explained that he did take a "picture" of the residence but it was only for his
photography.
Adams then presented his phone and consented to observing his camera roll. One
of the most recent captures in the camera roll was a video that was recording
as he was walking around the curtilage of his home while on the phone.
The timing and body language of is believed to be in line with when
was speaking on the phone with myself prior to my arrival.
Adams then recanted his statements advising that he had been lying. Adams stated that
Schneider had flown into Utah the day prior and had reached out to him for help
in filming. Adams stated that Schneider was paying him for his assistance in videoing.
Adams consented to me photographing the text messages. The messages have been attached
to the case.
Adams then stated that Schneider was on scene prior to our arrival and left in
another vehicle, believed to be a dark Hyundai Elantra that was seen in the area.
At this point, Adams was notified that he was trespassed from the
residence. Adams was notified and released on scene without further.
02020202E02E02CONTACT WITH BENJAMIN SCHNEIDER:
On initial arrival, had advised me about dark colored Hyundai
Elantra and stated that he believed the vehicle was also involved. Officer
Richardson stopped the vehicle for traffic violations. See Officer Richardson's
supplement for further on the initial traffic stop.
After contact with Adams, I responded to Officer Richardson's traffic stop.
Prior to my arrival to Officer Richardson's stop, Officer Richardson advised
that an individual that identified himself as Benjamin Schneider was located within
the vehicle that was stopped.
When arriving I made contact with two males identified as Tyler Shaw and
Benjamin Schneider. Shaw was in the driver seat of the vehicle and Schneider was
located in the rear passenger seat.
Both males had recording devices that were running during the entirety of the
interaction.

Schneider claimed that in two weeks would have a warrant for his arrest
out of Oregon and that he was in Utah to attempt to get either the property that
was claimed to be stolen or the equivalent in money, reported to be $100,000,
from prior to the warrant being issued. Schneider stated that if
gave the money or property back, that the warrant would not be issued. Schneider
stated that he only wanted to speak with and see if he could get him to
come to an agreement or hand over the property.
Both males in the vehicle denied any involvement in dropping the package off
earlier that morning. Both males stated that they did not know the females that
assisted them earlier due to just meeting them, but confirmed that they were
involved.
Both Shaw and Schneider were notified that they
